To take these photos I used a tripod and my Panasonic Lumix G10, I slowed the shutter speed down in order to create the long exposed effect. I chose to use cars because the light trails are easy to capture at night when the shutter speed is higher that a second, the longer the exposure time, the longer the trails will be. However depending on the amount of traffic, the trails might fade if the shutter speed is 32 seconds and on three cars have been past. Therefore it works best when it is on a busy road, such as these.
Mr Butcher Task - Long Exposure Photography
My task was to capture a photograph with a long exposure time (approximately 5 seconds). The setting I chose for this photograph was the A217 in Banstead and the bridge above the M25. Here are some of the photographs I captured.
